एगप्पा अजिए सत्तू
An unrestrained soul is unconquerable.
Soul and body
ओ जीवो अं सरीरं
Soul is different, body different
Neither commit sins, nor have it done
पावकम्मं नेव कुज्जा न कारवेज्जा
Sins should neither be committed by self, nor should be done through others
Wish not for honor because of penance
नो पूयणं तवसा आवहेज्जा
Do not expect admiration and honor due to penance done
Avoid fool’s company
अलं बालस्स संगेणं
Association with the fools must be avoided
Think before you speak
अणुवीइभासी से निग्गंथे
He only is a Sadhu, who thinks before speaking
Different attitude
पुढो छंदा इह मानवा
Here, people are of different attitudes
Love for praise
कसोक्खेहिं सद्देहिं पेमं नाभिनिवेसए
Do not be attached to the charming words pleasing to ears
See others as self
आयओ बहिया पास
