Speak not harshly
नो वयणं फरूसं वइज्जा
Speech is of two kinds – harsh and mild. In angry and cruel mood, it is crude; and mild when one is humble and quiet. Speech of kindness, compassion, sympathy, love, relations, affection, and deceit is mild. Against this, speech of cruelty, aversion, anger, haughtiness is discordant. Do not commit violence
सव्वेसिं जीवियं पियं, नाइवाएज्ज कंचणं
All love life, no one wants to die

सीहो व सद्देण न संतसेज्जा
Be fearless as a lion; fear not the words

करणसच्चे वट्टमाणे जीवे
