पाणवहो चंडो रुद्दो, खुद्दो, अणारियो,
निग्धिणो, निसंसो, महब्भभओ
निग्धिणो, निसंसो, महब्भभओ
Killing is inhuman, horrible, mean, uncivilized, merciless, cruel, and brutal
Infatuation only is accumulation
मुच्छा परिग्गहो वुत्तो
Infatuation only is called accumulation (parigraha)
Criticizer wanders
जो परिभवइ परं जणं,
संसारे परिवत्तई महं
संसारे परिवत्तई महं
One who criticizes, wanders in the world
Speak not harshly
नो वयणं फरूसं वइज्जा
Speech is of two kinds – harsh and mild. In angry and cruel mood, it is crude; and mild when one is humble and quiet. Speech of kindness, compassion, sympathy, love, relations, affection, and deceit is mild. Against this, speech of cruelty, aversion, anger, haughtiness is discordant. वीयरागयाएणं नेहाणुबंधणाणि,
तण्हाणुबंधणाणि य वोच्छिन्दइ

Detachment destroys the bondage of attachment and desire
