Saraswati Mandir

Saraswati Mandir
During the Shatrunjaya tirthyatra (climbing up), leaving the steps and just walking 30 feet on far right on serpentile foot path, we come across a little room type temple of Jain Saraswati Devi, the Goddess of Knowledge.

Because the temple is old fashioned so crawl a little and enter the low door. At right, there is the beautiful idol of Devi Saraswati. The Idol is very very old.

Sitting cross-legged before her, countless saints and sages have remained deep in meditation day and night with hard penance. Through strong fasts they attained the holy grace of mother Saraswati.

Even laymen have come here, observed meditation for months and gained the holy vision of her and also boon of extra-ordinary wit of par excellence. People bring their children and pray here to bless them. The saying goes that even dumbheads can become superb intellectuals by her blessings and it is a fact – not a fiction.
