न विरुज्झेज्ज केण वि

Do not nurture enmity or opposition against anyone

Favorable and unfavorable circumstances are obtained depending on the Karma done in the previous birth. Deluded, people think a particular man as their adversary, enemy and responsible for all the ills, and originator for all their adverse circumstances. Nevertheless, the fact is not this. We are responsible for all our ills – our karma of the previous birth. If good karma are evolved then favorable conditions would emerge and if bad karma are evolved then adverse conditions would surround us from all sides. बहुयं मा य आलवे

Do not speak too much

Few people speak too much. Throughout the day, they go on speaking. They do not like to keep mum. This is a very bad habit. Stomach of such people are very weak. They cannot keep any secret with them. If they come to know any secret about anyone, they immediately tell others. They do not know how much harmful could be the secret revealed before appropriate time. They go on talking like a scissor. They talk on myriad of subjects that have no depth. In old age, man is neither capable of joking, nor playing, nor loving and nor beautifying

उविच्च भोगा पुरिसं चयन्ति,
दुमं जहा खीणफलं व पक्खी

Like birds desert the tree bereft of fruits, enjoyments abandon the man of depleted virtues

Until delicious fruits are there on the tree, birds come from far and wide, sit on its branches and enjoy its fruits; but when all the fruits are over and because of change climate, possibility of fresh fruits is not there, all the birds forsake that and go elsewhere. Neither satisfaction, nor contentment

देवावि सइंदगा न तित्तिं न तुट्ठिं उवलभन्ति

Gods (devatas including Indras, their chief, who live in the heavens) also are neither satisfied nor contented with sense gratification

There are five organs of senses and their objects are different. Throughout life, man runs after acquisition of these objects. सित्थेण दोणपागं, कविं च एक्काए गाहाए

From a granule, the completely cooked food and from a single verse a poet can be judged
