Who is not an Ascetic?

Who is not an Ascetic?

They cannot be called ascetics who cannot enjoy because of dependence

Just imagine – two people having hundred rupees each. Out of who one donates fifty rupees and the other loses, somewhere. This way money remaining with both of them is fifty rupees only. However, the first will be called a donor, not the second. Why so? Because, the first parted intentionally; for the second it was unintentional. Continue reading “Who is not an Ascetic?” »

As fearless as a Lion

As fearless as a Lion

Be fearless as a lion; fear not the words

How fearless is the lion! He is not afraid of the elephant’s trumpet. Though, his body is much smaller than the elephant, still, his bravery, his courage awakens praiseworthy fearlessness in him which makes him careless about the trumpet also. Similarly, brave men also are not afraid of opponent’s challenge; those who fear, they are not brave; they are cowards. Continue reading “As fearless as a Lion” »

Victory lies in winning the mind

Victory lies in winning the mind

Fight with the internal perversions, what is the benefit of fighting externally?

Proverb – ‘Sweets are not distributed in war!’ It means that war does not produce any benefit. Both the sides lose only – one a little more, the other a little less. Still, as per the proverb ‘the buffalow is his who has the stick’; powerful only wins and there is no rule that the powerful will stand by justice. Tyrant and unjust can win the war due to might. Firmness in the man of right perception

Firmness in the man of right perception

An aspirant with right perception should not complain

Man of right vision should not be slack. Once anyone forms an opinion, then he sees likewise only. It simply means that if someone were enjoying the lush greenery of the season and then if he were to lose his sight or he lose his vision because of any accident then what will happen? For all the twelve months, he would be imagining the similar scenery. However, will that be the reality? No. Continue reading “Firmness in the man of right perception” »

How should the speech be ?

How should the speech be ?

Benevolent and true must be spoken

Whatever we speak should be for the good of self and others. If it does not happen this way, then we should think that our speech had been wasted. If the students, who have not learnt their lesson are beaten in the class, then on any other day, when they have not learnt their lesson, they think – ‘Never mind, guruji will slap only. We will bear that.’ This way beating will result in their becoming impudent and inclination to learn their lessons would not rise. Instead of this, if they are lovingly made to understand the harm accrued in not learning their lessons daily, they can be encouraged to memorize their lessons regularly.
