सम्मत्तदंसी न करेइ पावं

Man of right faith does not commit sins

Jiva (animate), ajiva (inanimate),punya (virtues),papa (sins), asrava (influx), samvara (stopping), bandha (bondage), nirjara ( part annihilation) and moksha (liberation) are the nine realities. Their nature is the meaning. Right Perception is having faith on the realities and their meaning because the aspirant who is able to understand the true nature of realities, is able to develop faith in them. Pain and desire

दुक्खं हयं जस्स न होइ मोहो,
मोहो हओ जस्स न होइ तण्हा

Who is detached, his pain is destroyed; who has no desire, his attachment is extinct

Desires vanquish even men of exemplary fortitude they make men of vision blind. As a man with eyesight cannot see things around him in the darkness of night; likewise, a covetous man does not see the wealth he possesses instead he desires for getting more and more – throughout the life, he struggles like a bull. Doubt not

वितिगिच्छासमावेणं अप्पाणेणं
नो लहइ समाहिं

Doubtful can never get liberated

An aspirant before starting his meditation listens to the guru. From that, he gets interest in the scriptures. Then, studying the scriptures on his own, he selects a path, understands the best way of life, considers the pros and cons, and after thinking firms up his faith and then starts on his journey. Useless violence

अट्ठा हणंति, अणट्ठा हणंति

Some people commit violence with some aim and some aimlessly

It is the habit of many people to simply uproot a plant while walking and throw that away, to pick a flower and crush that, to break the branch of the tree, keep it in their hand for sometime and then throw that away. Many ladies are such that while standing they go on scrapping the earth with their toe. Thus, purposelessly, violence is committed on the vegetables and the earth.
